Delete your entire account

The fastest path is in the app itself:

1. Open Anor.
2. Tap your profile (bottom-right).
3. Tap the settings icon (top-right of the profile screen).
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
5. Confirm the deletion.

If you can't sign in for any reason, email [email protected] with the subject line "Account deletion request" and the email address tied to your account. We'll complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving a verified request.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is removed immediately:

• Your profile (name, photo, bio, interests)
• Your presence data (last-known location, status, venue check-ins)
• Your messages — both sent and received in conversations you were part of
• Your push notification tokens
• Your analytics opt-in state and any analytics events recorded under your account
• Your authentication record (email used to sign in)

What's retained, and for how long

A small amount of data is retained for legal, audit, and safety reasons:

• Moderation records (reports filed by or against you, blocks, takedown actions) — retained for up to 12 months, anonymised after that. This is to prevent banned users from circumventing safety actions by re-creating accounts.
• Audit log entries for administrative actions affecting your account — retained for 24 months, anonymised after that.
• Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (e.g., venue check-in counts at the venue level) — retained indefinitely; these contain no per-user information.

None of the retained data is sufficient to identify you. Your name, email, photo, messages, and precise location are all deleted with the account.

Delete some of your data without closing your account

If you'd rather keep your account but remove specific data, email [email protected] with the subject "Partial data deletion request" and describe what you'd like deleted. Common requests:

• Profile photo only
• Specific messages or conversations
• Venue check-in history
• Analytics events recorded under your account

We'll respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving a verified request.

Note: messages in conversations you participated in are also visible to the other person in that conversation. When you request a message be deleted, it's removed from Anor's servers entirely (including the other person's view).
